Yes, we can discuss whether Kim Kardashian had cosmetic surgery or not. We can discuss if she is a good role model for our generation. We can even debate if she represents unrealistic goals. And we will… just not in this blog ;)

It is well known that Kim Kardashian is a workaholic. In fact, episode five of the reality show 'The Kardashians' was dedicated to Kim Kardashian being a workaholic. She even explains that working hard is something she likes and loves to do.

"I always felt like I had to work a little bit harder than the average person just to get a little bit of respect. And once you start working and once you start seeing the results and proving yourself, how do you stop? I've always wanted people to see who I really am and I'm not going to stop until I prove every single person wrong." - Kim Kardashian (The Kardashians, 2022)

With some successful global empires up and running like Skims and SKKN, we almost forget that Kim Kardashian, like most entrepreneurs, needed to fail before she became successful. I've ranked every business she owned from least to most successful. For a girl with no talent, she did not do so badly...

13. Kardashian Kard

The Kardashian Kard wasn’t a success AT ALL (see, not everything Kim K does is a success). The prepaid MasterCard, which debuted in 2010, had huge fees and a marketing strategy that focused on the youth. After a lot of criticism for advertising this expensive kard to a younger audience, the KK was put off the market.

12. Kardashian Beauty

Originally launched as Khroma Beauty in 2012 before a lawsuit that saw the sisters rename it to Kardashian Beauty. The Kardashian sisters launched a cheap-looking, no-pigment, bad quality, makeup range. No wonder it wasn't a success… Let's just say that Kim used this experience to level up the quality of her future makeup brands ;)

11. Belle Noel Jewellery

Back in the 2010s, Kim was known for a hoop earring – I know, I also thought that it was Khloé with her ‘the bigger the hoop, the bigger the hoe’ statement that was known for her hoops. It was Kimberly Noel Kardashian who came up with a jewelry line that allowed the audience to accessorize like the reality TV star at an affordable price. Sadly, the brand never took off and disappeared.

10. Selfish

Kim Kardashian was known for her ability to create a good selfie. She decided to monetize her selfies In 2015, releasing a coffee table photobook titled Selfish, which was published by Rizzoli and contained a collection of previously unseen selfies. The first edition of the book sold out within one minute despite critics calling the project narcissistic, and boring.

9. Kim Kardashian Hollywood!

Kim Kardashian's iOS and Android game focuses on being as popular as you can. Each player can schedule modeling gigs, club appearances, and dates and spend K-Stars (virtual money) on the newest fashion trends. Simply said, the game gives the audience an experience of KK's luxurious life. By the end of the year, the game had made $43 million and had attracted 23 million players since its June 2014 launch.

8. ShoeDazzle

Kim's first successful business venture launched in 2009 and was called ShoeDazzle. With Brian Lee, Robert Shapiro, and M.J. Eng, Kim developed an online fashion subscription service that provided monthly selections of jewelry, shoes, and handbags. The brand gained 10 million subscribers in just four years and received millions of dollars in funding before being purchased by rival online fashion subscription service JustFab in 2013 for an undisclosed sum.

7. Kim Kardashian Eau De Parfum

Kim changed the name of her first perfume project from Dashing—inspired by the sisters' boutique Dash—to Kim Kardashian Eau De Parfum after a significant fight with her sisters that was seen on Keeping Up With The Kardashians (OMG who remembers this moment?!). Kim was able to establish her reputation as a perfume expert thanks to the fragrance, which had a dry-down of tonka bean, jacaranda wood, and sandalwood with a subtle bouquet of gardenia, jasmine, and tuberose.

6. Skky Partners Private Equity

Recently, it was revealed that Kim is trying her hand at private equity investing. She has teamed up with seasoned private equity executive Jay Sammons to launch Skky Partners, a new company that specializes in investments in media and consumer products. While it is still too early to really judge how successful this venture is, Kim's billion-dollar businesses are a good insight into the success of this business. Kimberly... You're doing amazing sweetie!

5. Dash Boutique

The sisters Kimberly, Kourtney, and Khloé's founded The Dash Boutique in Calabasas, California, in 2006. The store carried a range of upscale apparel and accessories, and throughout its 12 years in business, it opened up shops in other cities, including Miami and Manhattan. The shop was also featured in the first seasons of 'Keeping Up With The Kardashian'.

4. Kimoji

In 2015, Kim released the Kimoji app, which featured 250 emojis and GIFs, featuring her infamous sobbing face and iconic reality-show moments. With 9000 downloads per second and a $1 million revenue every minute, this is number four on Kim's most successful businesses.

3. KKW Beauty & SKKN

Despite the failure of her first cosmetics company Kardashian Beauty, Kim founded KKW Beauty in 2017 and enjoyed immediate success. Coty, a major manufacturer of cosmetics, acquired 20% of the business three years after its founding for $200 million, giving it a $1 billion valuation.

Kim did, however, announce the closing of the cosmetics company in 2021. In 2022, Kim came back with SKKN by Kim, a new skincare line that offers "nutrition, regeneration, and an exquisite at-home experience" through "a futuristic nine-product ritual."

2. KKW Fragrance

Kim introduced a trio of scents in 2017 under the new name KKW Fragrance, drawing on her prior skills in perfumery. The scents include Crystal Gardenia, Crystal Gardenia Citrus, and Crystal Gardenia Oud. Since then, the company has expanded to provide a wide range of fragrances, from floral to citrus, including the well-known KKW Body, which comes in a bottle modeled after Kim's own body, and several collaborations with her family.

1. Skims

Kim successfully changed her "solution wear" firm to Skims, which premiered in 2019 and has since grown to become a multi-billion dollar brand. But don't be delusional... the number one brand of KK had a bumpy start, because of using the name 'Kimono' for the brand. Kimberly listened to the criticism and changed the name to Skims (personally, I preferred Skims anyways). Skims is accessible anywhere in the world, and offers a huge selection of loungewear and pajamas in addition to smoothing and shaping underwear.
